Welcome to BSC IBP

BSc in International Business and Politics

On this page, you can find the full programme for the intro week at your study programme, as well as contact information and links to social media.

Remember to keep yourself up to date as changes may occur up until the intro week.

Welcome from your guides

Welcome to CBS and to IBP!

We have a full week ready for you, to make your first days as an IBP student as memorable as they can be.

Monday starts in Frederiksberg Have, Tuesday covers every CBS campus, Thursday takes you across
Copenhagen, and Friday closes with a farewell dinner at Copenhagen’s best-kept secret study spot.
Everything might be too much to process, which is why Wednesday is yours.

This week has been carefully planned to seamlessly integrate you into life as an IBPer; we ourselves know
what it is like to be a new student, not knowing anyone or where anything is. You can look forward to
meeting likeminded people, finding your way around Copenhagen, and feeling ready for the week after.

See you Monday morning in Frederiksberg Have!

Your Study Start Team, IBP Intro Week 2026

Welcome from Study Director

Dear IBP Students,

Welcome to CBS and the BSc in International Business and Politics!

You are now part of an ambitious and diverse community where international business, politics, and society come together in one of CBS’s most interdisciplinary programs. We’re very pleased to welcome you to what will be a challenging, rewarding, and transformative three-year journey.

The beginning of university life can often feel overwhelming – socially, academically, or both. If you find that there’s a lot to take in, you’re not alone. Make the most of what’s offered: your student mentors, the study start guides, and the IBP Union are all here to support you.

Academically, this program will push you to read widely, think critically, and engage deeply. Especially during your first year, you’ll be laying the foundation for the more advanced work to come. That foundation needs to be built slowly and steadily. So do the readings and resist the temptation of shortcuts, like AI tools. The real value of your studies lies in the effort you put in, the struggle to understand difficult concepts, and the ability to think for yourself.

Once again, congratulations on your admission, and welcome to IBP!

Warm regards

Jacob Hasselbalch
Study Director, BSc in International Business and Politics
